Boho Gypsy Vibes

I may have found the perfect twirly summer dress...for $7 in H&M's clearance section!  It's times like this where I know it's just meant to be when a dress you've had your eye on for months suddenly appears when you're just just sifting through the clearance racks.

I cannot stress enough: the clearance section is your friend-- your BFF even.  If you can manage the patience to go through the clearance racks, you're pretty much guaranteed an amazing find for practically nothing.  Plus, it's always such a better story when you can surprise people with how much you managed to save on such a great outfit!

Dress: H&M (similar) || Sandals: MIA, via Marshalls ||
Belt: Forever 21 || Necklace: Forever 21 || Sunnies: aerie (similar)

Not gonna lie, I feel like a boho Disney princess in this dress-- like Belle meets Coachella-- and I love it!  The bright red-orange color, tassels, and the off the shoulder; it's perfect!  And the added silver western-inspired belt and necklace adds to the festival vibes without getting too crazy, or having to overload on accessories!

I've rounded up some of my favorite off the shoulder dresses for this summer here for y'all (all $100 and under!!!):

Have you jumped on the OTS dress bandwagon yet?  :)

Graphic Sundays

I admit, that I have a tendency to be high maintenance (my friends can tell you that, dressing down does not include sweats in my book; jeggings and a cute pullover is pretty much as dressed down as I get); and I freely admit it.  When I travel, I like to have LOTS of options, because you never know when fashion inspiration is going to hit you!

One of my favorite ways to make a fashion statement in the winter is a graphic pullover; they do double duty: it's an extra layer to keep you warm, and at the same time, adds interest to your outfit!  The other day I was at the mall, because I had a gift card to Forever21 and I was ready to stock up on accessories.  But of course, going into Forever 21 to with list and sticking to it, is just as useless as going into Target for shampoo and only coming out with shampoo--it doesn't happen.

As I was walking around (you always have to do at least two circuits of Forever so you don't miss anything...pretty sure that's just the rule, haha), I spotted this little gem out of the corner of my eye and knew I needed it for my dress down days.

This Forever21 graphic awesomeness is perfect to make a statement, but still give off the laid back, cool girl vibes...AKA, my main goal on dress down days.

Front Row.  I feel like this pullover is perfect for the aspiring fashion blogger in me!

My favorite detail is the side zippers; I love how it gives the pullover more flair, and creates a peek-a-boo effect to dress up a regular pullover.

Looks like lazy Sundays just got a little chicer!  ;)

Dusters For Days

Lightweight, layerable (I know its not a word, buuut...), duster jackets are perfect for the cooler weather ahead!  Especially on a day like today, where the mornings are cool and crisp, but the afternoons are still warm, the duster is great for layering; when it gets warm later in the day, these jackets aren't too heavy where you're going to overheat.

In honor of my obsession (oops...#sorrynotsorry, but I have three already!), I've done a big ol' round up my dusters, styled.

Check out my other duster looks (and scroll to the bottom to shop them all)!

You can pair a duster with pretty much anything and wear them anywhere!

First off, I love the burnt orange color of this H&M duster, it just screams autumn!  Secondly, the shape is so relaxed and flowy that it gives your outfits a cool boho feel.  This one is my favorite and I've paired it with pretty much every type of clothing: jeggings, a dress, a jumpsuit...I just love the ease of it (and it doesn't hurt that it's super comfy either!).

Kim Kardashian-West can do no wrong style-wise; her confidence and risk taking with her outfits is amazing fashion inspiration!  She's also the person who's influenced my love for the duster jacket!  Kim K can rock a duster jacket like no other, and makes it work with any outfit.

In my own personal styling, I've paired it with my GAP ripped boyfriend jeans and flats (or you can go sophisticated and do heels!), and also with my Old Navy jeggings and lace up flats.  The shape of this particular duster is great because of it's sleek structure; it can be belted or worn open, either way it'll make your outfit instantly chicer.

This look was great for a girls' night out; not too dressy, but also not too casual: a great middle ground!

Okay, so this one isn't really considered a duster jacket, but it's pretty similar in the way it can be styled in my opinion.

Belt It Out

I'm totally taking a page out of Kim K's book with my recent duster jacket obsession (I already have three...sorrynotsorry); they're the super chic version of a pullover (they're comfy, but polished).

This is definitely one bandwagon you're gonna wanna hop on!  ;)

I have to admit, as much as I love shopping, I hate spending a lot of money on cosmetics; when I splurge on them, it's usually for an Essie polish (because they have the absolute BEST colors!).  It's extremely rare that I spend more than $10 on any one cosmetic (my favorite liquid liner that I've been using for the last ten years only cost about $3, and I swear by it!).  I'd just rather put the extra money towards a nicer piece of clothing instead.

I mixed two different shades to get this dark berry color; together, both lipsticks cost under $10 (L'Oréal 'Raisin Rapture' + NYC Cosmetics 'Mahogany'). You definitely don't need to break the bank to achieve a great berry lip for fall!

It's been so hard to find a pair of these lace up flats for a decent price!  I found this pair on Poshmark and was able to buy them with my earnings from selling pieces from my closet (such a good way to clean out   your closet and get new clothes all at the same time...and it's ridiculously easy!).

If you haven't joined Poshmark, then you need to download the app ASAP!  Use code 'PNXBH' when you sign up and get a $5 credit! :)

Pink & Palms with a Touch of (Rose) Gold

I'm really starting to dig the mixing of patterns!  So far I've been dipping my toes in, either pairing similar patterns with similar colors or one bold pattern with one subtle pattern.  Regardless, my fashion risk-taking has come a very long way from when I first took an interest in fashion (which honestly wasn't until the end of high school).

My inspiration came from Blaire Eadie (Atlantic Pacific blog, here; don't forget to check out her Insta feed, here!), who has an AMAZING fashion sense.  Seriously, I don't think she's posted an outfit I didn't like!  If there was a way to do it, I'd copy and paste her wardrobe into my own (who do I need to talk to to get this technology happening???).

I really liked playing with patterns and then adding a pop of metallic.  This summer is going to be full of experimenting with mixing patterns, and I can't wait!!

What do you guys think about throwing metallic into pattern mixing?

April Faves

April was a pretty good month for me. I turned 24 (guess that means I'm kind of an adult now, lol)!

I'm starting to become more confident as a blogger and really getting into the swing of things (posting more regularly, getting/taking more quality photos).  My personal style has also come a long way since I started blogging; I like how I look and feel good in the things I wear, which has definitely helped with my self-confidence and overall made me happier with myself! :)

I'm positive May is going to be a great month and I'm confident I'm going to improve my blogging even more!

Unfortunately, I'm still pretty sick, but I still wanted to share my roundup with you guys anyways (I promise I'll try and get the rest of the links up as soon as I'm feeling better!) :*

Weekend Find: Forever 21 Palm Frond skirt

Only $23!!

This Forever21 graphic palm frond skirt is perfect for summer.  Anything to do with palm trees screams summer to me.  And if you saw my Easter Eyelet post (check it out here) then you know I'm trying to ease myself into wearing more white pieces to brighten up my wardrobe (I own a lot of black, grey and blue...).

Tonight I paired it with a white tunic top and white Sperry's (and imagine how awesome it would look with a tan!) for some birthday celebrations with friends, so it's casual, but still fun for a night out!

What do you guys think? :)

Trends I Love: Blush

After seeing (and then obsessing over and buying) this Bebe moto jacket from Marshalls (check out my original post here), I have been seriously digging blush-colored everything!  It's spring's perfect neutral and looks great paired with everything!
Similar jacket (here)

I put together some blush-colored picks I've found (plus my DIY mani from earlier in the week!):

Ciaté Mini Paint Pot nail polish (mix and match 3 for $18!  They have a bunch of colors and "effects"--glitter, studs, etc.)

I love this trench because you could wear it casually with a cool graphic tee and some jeans, or dressed up for a night out with friends!

ASOS Sleeved Draped-back Midi dress (on sale now for only $28!)
The shape is super flattering (and there's even a little open back action!) and is perfect for any spring event!

J. Crew does it again.  This skirt is super cool, and looks great just how J. Crew styled it!

Jersey blazers are like dressy sweatshirts.  They're super comfortable but you still look pulled together, which makes it the perfect piece for literally any outfit.

Pointy flats and jewels?  Check and check.

Envelope clutches are like the basic accessory that every girl should have because it's simple and chic and goes with everything.

Kate Spade Cat Eye sunglasses.  Love the color and especially the style!  Very Pink Ladies!  ;)

What do you guys think of blush for spring?
